Portland For Priestess Process

I am going on three hours of sleep ... and going and going..... lol

today finds me at a starbucks  in West Linn, OR listening to Jack Johnson sitting with Tyler and Elena while Naomi has her first day during her year long priestess process....

We took the mothership on one more joyride to packwood... leaving graham last nite @ 10:30 instead of 8... Our household this week is integrating new people... Naomi's brother Nathan has joined us in the smaller camper, Naomi's friend, Elena is seriously in danger of becoming an ancillary packmember by default, and Ben Ben is recouping from knee surgery with us.... with all of this, our logistics systems somewhat crashed and food wasn't gotten, packing was ummmm delayed.... and we were doing ice maker repairs @ 9 pm.... we got to packwood and sleep about about 1:30 ish and up again @ 5:30 to drive to Portland....

so my eyes are tired... but we're still up and moving....

We got Naomi dropped off and settled into a beautiful temple, with two other initiates and then wandered lost unable to track well enough to find an Internet cafe til we bumped into a spaghetti factory about noon....

The meal was exactly what we needed... and a great chance to talk and get to know Elena better....


and of course dessert..... yummmmers



Then off to stretch the bunny and boos legs.... Zenya should have been a champion pup - she just shines on challenges like new surfaces....




boo boo ... not so sure about moving platforms but she played along...








There seem to be so many profound things I could write if I could just focus long enough to pick a thought....

so this may be it for today - a few more hours til we pick Naomi up, drive the three hours to packwood, and hopefully settle into a peaceful evening mellow @ packwood--- with a day hike tomorrow and then home to graham...

If I die first...... 2026 version

February 26,  2026 The post xolaire version… Life is different on this side It’s been a while since I posted this. I used to do this every year on facebook and send copies to people I cared about. I don’t know when I stopped, sometime during the pandemic.  It’s interesting I stopped posting it before the first round of heart failure (that I knew of) … but posted before I got sick. Before 2022? When I literally bought and prepaid and planned my own funeral.  I found it, the most recent version! I reworked it last in 2020 for a class….. As a poem. Somewhere, I stopped writing, somewhere with the med changes and the heart failure… maybe I was too close to death to honestly send this…..  This time, I am not on facebook any longer… the politics of Meta… so no posting…. So I will be sending this directly to loved ones And printing copies to put with my estate documents…. If any one has to ever write an obituary, maybe there is something here…. Trying to Try

  I am in bed Doing my stretches and feet circles and leg wiggles in bed trying to get the strength to roll to stand to get my brace to take the pressure off to move to get to the bathroom.  And I am wondering if I want to fully get up again.   I was so excited to be better and getting betterere before the cruise in march. I rallied, I pulled  and I was doing so well.    Then this crash after crash after crash and I just don’t know if I have it in me to get all the way up.  What if I get up and this happens again? I am so tired.  I was so happy to be back at work and doing more around the house and getting ready to go for  walks and hikes and dancing again. And then it all went away.    Again.    I think two big things (years)  like this too close together is making it hard to believe there will be a pot of "good"  (span of time of wellness) at the top of this mountain.
